Ruckelshaus, Kautzman, Blackwell, Bemis & Hasbrook first advised Indiana’s Fraternal Order of Police in 1966 and continues to do so today. Jack Ruckelshaus also served as General Counsel for the National Fraternal Order of Police for nearly a decade. The firm steadfastly remains public safety’s number one partner in legal protection.

We regularly represent police officers in departmental disputes, disciplinary matters, Merit Board and Board of Safety hearings, and court proceedings.

In addition to working side by side with the Indiana State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (and several local lodges), we also serve as counsel of record for the FOP Legal Defense Fund (a legal defense program designed specifically for law enforcement officers).
