M. Elizabeth Bemis received her B.A. in Political Science and Journalism from Franklin College in 1989. During her undergraduate career she was actively involved in the college community serving as President of Pi Beta Phi Women’s Fraternity, Rho Lambda Greek Honorary, and Franklin College Student Foundation, acting as a student liaison with the college alumni. Elizabeth continue her involvement with Phi Beta Pi serving as an alumnae advisor from 1995-1999.
In 1992 Elizabeth earned her law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She was active in moot court, was a member of the client counseling board, and participated in the first law disability clinic in which students advised and counseled Alzheimer’s and HIV positive patient/clients.
Elizabeth joined the firm in 1991 as a law clerk during her last year of law school. She was an associated with the firm for six years before becoming a partner is 1998. She is a member of the American, Indiana State, and Indianapolis Bar Association. Elizabeth practices in the areas of domestic relations, law enforcement disciplinary proceedings, collections, civil litigation, and appellate proceedings.
